Andy is a 23-year veteran of the Microsoft Corporation, and has made many contributions to projects such as Windows 95, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Windows Media Player, and the Zune PC media player software. For the last few years, he’s been returning to his “hardware roots” both in personal projects, as well as his work in Microsoft’s Manufacturing Test Engineering (i.e. design of systems to make sure the Surface, Xbox, etc., work properly after assembly before we ship ’em off to Wal-Mart). He was originally a native of Chappaqua, New York, but has surpassed the point where he can now claim to be >50% native to Seattle, based on duration of residency.
