Andy is a 27-year veteran of the Microsoft Corporation, and has made many contributions to projects such as Windows 95, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Windows Media Player, and the Zune PC media player software. In 2011, he returned to his “hardware roots” both in personal projects, as well as spending several years in Microsoft’s Manufacturing Test Engineering (i.e. design of systems to make sure the Surface, Xbox, etc., work properly after assembly before we ship ’em off to retail). Recently he’s been working on new product development in the Surface organization. He was originally from Chappaqua, New York, but has long since surpassed the point where he can now claim to be “mostly” native to Seattle, based on duration of residency.
